As we continuously watch houses being built in a matter of weeks and garden makeover programs
completing voluntary projects in days it really brings to one’s attention just how quickly things can
get done with the correct motivation, like a deadline for a classic example. We often delay as we fret
over the finances, the weather and all too often a final plan or decision on what we would actually
like to do with that area of garden. With reference to new build houses I have been truly impressed
with three projects that literally happened overnight. They have been remarkable transformations.
With drawings at the ready, helpful advice taken onboard and materials in order they literally
transformed what was a blank canvas into a masterpiece overnight. Many will argue that the fun in
doing a garden project is doing little pieces each year and enjoying each moment in stages. However
those who have pushed on can now sit back and enjoy a project that looks established and not
ongoing and ponder the next stage, where for many it may be some time before they can enjoy that
moment.
